Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the procedure to write a video script of Kambang Iwak Area to promote culinary in Palembang. The writer used Research and Development (R&D) method by Plomp (1997). It consists five stages, they are preliminary investigation, designing, realization/construction, (test, evaluation, and construction), and implementation. The data were collected from observation, interview, and documentation. After going through the first three steps, the writer can produce a video script draft that contains information about the Kambang Iwak Area. In test, evaluation, and construction stage, the video script draft was validated by two experts in the field of linguistics and three experts in the field of tourism content. For the linguistics, the writer changed and removed the irrelevant vocabulary and revised the ungrammatical sentences, and spelling mistake in the script. For the content aspects, the writer revised the hook to be more interesting and removed unnecessary information in the video content.
