Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the procedures to write a video script to promote Jumputan as a local fabric from Palembang. The writer used Research and Development (R&D) method by Borg and Gall that modified by Suprapto, Suryanto, Sumiharsono, and Ramadhan (2020). It consists of five stages, they are gathering information, making a plan, preparing product forms, concluding initial product revision, and product implementation. The data used were about video script and jumputan collected from observation, interview, and journal articles. The first expert who is a scriptwriter, Miss. Kharisma was helped to revise the script content and was suggested removing several parts from the script narration written by the writer. Miss. Kharisma said that the narration was good and the information includes was clear and detailed, but there were several words and sentences that should be removed because they were several words and sentences that are not needed in the script. Ms. Fitria who is a freelanced proofreader was helped the writer review the language. Ms. Fitria commented grammatical error and suggested to change the words that will fit more to the video script. The revision includes the articles, words, and grammars changing. The validity of the script has received validation from the experts, namely video scriptwriter expert and proofreader experts
