Abstract
Laporan akhir ini membahas tentang Upaya Pembinaan Kepala Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Guru dan Siswa di SMKN 1 Rantau Alai. Laporan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya pembinaan yang telah dilakukan oleh kepala SMKN 1 Rantau Alai dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan pada guru dan siswanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, riset lapangan, dan riset kepustakaan. Jenis dan sumber data terdiri dari data primer yaitu data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan data sekunder melalui buku atau artikel-artikel yang berkaitan dengan manajemen sumber daya manusia. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara mengenai upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru dan siswanya di SMKN 1 Rantau Alai, melalui 6 peranan, yaitu sebagai educator, manajer, administrator, supervisor, leader, dan motivator. Pada perannya sebagai educator, administrator, dan leader upaya yang telah dilakukan kepala sekolah sudah berjalan dengan baik, akan tetapi pada perannya sebagai manajer, supervisor, dan motivator masih belum optimal, seperti masih kurangnya koordinasi antara kepala sekolah, wakil, dan guru dalam penyusunan jadwal, belum adanya pendelegasian tugas kepada guru untuk mengawasi kegiatan belajar mengajar, kurang penekanan dalam menghadapi guru dan siswa yang malas ataupun melanggar aturan sekolah, serta tidak adanya pemberian hukuman terhadap guru yang tidak masuk.
