Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the role of the selection and placement on employee performance. The sample in this research were 65 samples. This research using proportionate stratified random sampling technique method. Results of the questionnaire for the implementation of selection processing (selection of applicants, academic potential test ,initial interviews, background evaluations, in-depth interviews (with the leaders), medical tests and decisions) have a significant role ie with a percentage of 79.38%. In this research also shows the positioning of the work (academic achievement, experience, physical and mental health, marital status and age) on employee performance is quite large with a percentage of 79.17%. it is advisable for companies to better maximize do the implementation of selection applied to ensure that prospective employees can be known true ability and according to the needs of the company. At PT Federal International Finance Branch Palembang in the placement process remains to be improved again to get the employee's performance is really the maximum so that the company's goals can be achieved
