Abstract

The purpose of the report is to know the role of promotion strategy in attempting to increase the sales of products insurance services in PT Asuransi Bringin Sejahtera Artamakmur (Cabang Palembang).This insurance company is located at Jalan Mayor Ruslan No. 812. Palembang. Based on the research method used was the interview, it can be known that the type of promotion that is used in the company is through the internet, brochures, fair and personal selling. Media promotion of the internet is still not well organized, promotional activities through the fair still depend on BRI activities and promotion through personal selling are still has obstacles with lack of sales marketers. The authors can conclude that the promotional strategy applied in company is still not going well and have not provided a great influence in the previous insurance products. Based on conclusion, the author suggests that company should enhance promotional activities by adding promotional media they have use with promotion media advertising in the newspaper and the local newspaper
