Abstract
One of the problems that arise on the use of induction motor is the height of the current starting, high start current is needed to generate the torque will pan the induction motor. The flow of this high-start will influence the availability of electrical power and voltage stability latticework. On the motor research packing slip ring with a series of stars and the installation of the first prisoners. The research results given torque loads 1 Nm at 1 selector has the current start 1.24 A with prisoners began a 6 Ω-3 with motor round of 1352 rpm. But on the selector position 7, current start experiencing an increase to 1.65 A with prisoners began by 1.1 Ω-3 and motor round experience and increase become 1466 rpm, on mounting steady flow of prisoners began to almost no effect evident in the calculation where the selector position 1 achieved steady flow of 1.14 A and on the selector position 7 acquired a current 1.16 A. The current start and steady flow will be the larger increases with torque loads. Different with large motor round, where the rotation of the motor will be less often with increasing torque loads. The influence of the prisoners began to this is that to be able to arrange the rotation of the rotor from the low position of 1 toward nominal round on the position of the 7, with the characteristics of the current start that different high and remained under control at the time of the motor operation.
