Abstract

This final assignment is a construction plan of PALINDRA HIGHWAY STA 1+000 – STA 3+000 South Sumatra. Construction of a road is very important for the main support of economical activity both in the center of the city or in the suburb/small town. To create a big nation, Indonesia needs a big road network, one of them is PALINDRA HIGHWAY that is located on Sumatra and connects Palembang to Indralaya, and for the future will also connects province such as Jambi, South Sumatra and Lampung to cross to Java Island. In the making of this final assignment, we will plan the construction of highway according to the standard that gives us comfort, safety and economical for the user. From the calculation, it can be obtained that the daily traffic of 94517,25 units of passenger car is categorized in Class I (Artery Road) that have the value of >20.000 units of passenger car according to the Highway Geometric Planning Regulation (PeraturanPerencanaanGeometrikJalan Raya/PPGJR) No. 13/1970. This highway have 4 turns. 2 Full Circle (FC) and 2 Spiral Circle Spiral (SCS). The structure plan of this highway is a 5,2m road median and 2x1,5 meter roadside with road length of 3,85km that uses rigid pavement with concrete quality of K-350 with plate thickness of 20cm and with a workfloor that uses LC with K-175 quality and 10cm thickness. The subbase uses 15cm B-class aggregate. This highway have the budget of Rp. 298.587.656.151 with 327 workdays project completion time. In planning the geometric design of a highway, the thing that becomes the reference for the plan are horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, daily traffic, traffic growth, and also specify the pavement that us used
