Abstract

The purpose of making this design is to create a design that can measuring the level of methane gas in peat land. This device using MQ4 sensor to detect the level of methane gas and show the result of methane gas level in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and Handphone . The result of measuring methane gas will display in LCD. To measuring the gas by handphone we have to send SMS “cek” to modem in the design. Then automatically the modem will reply that SMS with the result of methane gas level that detected by sensor. The result of measuring methane gas from 5 sample that tested is 360 PPM, 379 PPM, 559 PPM, 350 PPM and 360 PPM.
