Abstract
At PT. Sinar Sosro KPB. Palembang, the role of electric motors is very important, because it plays to drive the production machinery and belt conveyor. In the palletizer machine there is a belt conveyor infeed duty to deliver the contents of the crate to the pile of contents crate to then be delivered to the container storage warehouse, where the infeed conveyor belt is driven by a 3 phase induction motor, so that if there is damage to the induction motion of the 3 phase , Will be able to inhibit the production process at PT. Sinar Sosro KPB. Palembang. Therefore, the 3 phase power induction motor power analysis for the selection of electric motor power specifications on the conveyor belt infeed is very important, in order to obtain 3 phase induction motors with the required power specifications. After carrying out the power requirement analysis of 3 phase induction motors, we have obtained the analysis result that the use of 3 phase induction motor which is currently using 3 phase induction motor with power specification 1,1 kW or 1100 Watt not efficient, because average power needed Belt infeed conveyor while working still below 0.75 kW or 750 Watt. In connection with this, the authors recommend to replace the motor with a motor whose power specification is 0.75 kW or 750 Watt.
