Abstract

An Analysis of SWOT in Determining Marketing Strategy Program of MIPA Learning Counseling and English at Delta Learning Centre of Palembang The problems of the research are: What are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by Delta Learning Centre in Marketing its programs, and what is the best strategy in marketing the counseling learning programs of MIPA and English. In this study, the researcher used two kinds of research, namely field research and library research. In other words, in conducting field research, the researcher used interviews, questionnaires and observation, while in conducting library research, the researcher read some references and sources that related to her research. The researcher used purposive sampling technique. In this context, there were eighteen participants as sample of the study, consisting of nine internal participants, and nine external participants. In conclusion, the researcher found out that there were six strengths that made Delta Learning Centre keep on running its business. They were: the level of class offered was complete, the staffs were qualified, there was semiprivate class, offering reasonable course fee, having complete facilities, and having cross legged classes. While the weaknesses were on the use of internet access was poor and having no good image of contest participation, as well as having no learning discounts. On the other side, the opportunities showed that the existence of MIPA and English were very crucial, and most parents like to join semiprivate classes. Moreover, the threats were on the existence of some similar learning centre occurred in some places, and there was an additional lessons at schools after the class was over. Additionally, the researcher figured out that the position of Delta Learning Centre was in the 1st quadrant in which supported the development aggressive policies.
