Abstract

This final report is made for the purpose to find out if there's any social influence in the decision to buy Samsung smartphone product. Methods that used in this research is, scope of the study, kind and data source, population and sample, and data analysis. The inference of this study is the test effect of F can be seen from the data that shown that 12,780 > 3,91 and the significant extent 0,000 < 0,05. Viewed from the table “Model summary” is 35,6% and 64,4% affected by another factor. Based on T test, we can conclude that character and status variable is the most dominant which affect the decision in buying Samsung smartphone and become the highest consideration by the costumer when buy it. It is shown by the result that character and status variable which is bigger than family variable. So the conclusion of this research is PT Samsung need to improve their product quality and image to their smartphone in purpose and hope that it can affect the decision in buying the smartphone in the family and group variable. PT Samsung must be able to maintain and increase the character and status variable which is the most dominant affection than family and group variable. The way to maintain it is to make new innovation to their product so they can maintain and increase the value of the character and status variable.
