Abstract
This research’s aims are to explain how the role of Public Relations in communicating extern’s problems and to solve human relation problems at Sumatera Ekspress Management Palembang. This research used qualitative descriptive analysis method, it was field research that tried to give the descriptive description about reality occureed within society, where as was used qualitative method. The research tells about the role of Public Relations in communicating extern’s problems, the impact that can be happen if there are no public relations in Sumatra ekspress management Palembang, and the solution to face the human relation problems. From the research result, the author analyzed that public relation role is very important in maintaining the company’s image through good services and cooperation with the other parties. Therefore, Sumatera Ekspress management should pay attention to the public relations skills in interacting with the community to create and maintain the good image of the Sumatera Ekspress’ newspaper. One of the obstacles that faced by the Public Relation is communication skills, so that Sumatra Ekspress management needs to arrange specific training in communication skills.
