Abstract

The purpose of this final report is to know the certain story structure of the four Muratara folktales, the possibilities of the application of Propp’s morphology on the four Muratara folktales and the moral values that reflected by the characters in Muratara folktales. The writer wanted to know a) What the certain story structure of the four Muratara folktales are, b) What the possibilities of the application of Propp’s morphology on the four Muratara folktales are, and c) What moral values that reflected by the characters in Muratara folktales are. The writer used in this final report is qualitative descriptive. The result shows that there are five parts in story stucture that contained in four Muratara folktales, each stories contained less than 31 functions of Propp’s morphology and the characters in each stories reflected their own moral values.
